  • When is it the right time to move up?

    Hi all

I’m interested to see what people’s response to this question it.

I have played 21,835 hands at 1/2c with a win rate of 7.04 BB/100 and considering having a shot at 2/5

It depends if you care about Bankroll management.

Are you worried about busting your roll, because if you don't, then take the shot. It you have been winning at that rate have you made around $30, is that right?

I made around $150 before I wanted a stab at 5nl which was around 100,000 hands. The thing is as well the sample is sort of small and so you could have been lucky over that sample - you never know. Just things to think about.

I remember Xflixx talked about bankroll management in one of his videos. I seem to recall that he looked at two types of options : for example, taking a stab @ 5nl with a roll of $100 (aggressive management), or a more conservative plan ($200).

I 'think' it might be this video :

I’m not worried about bankroll that is fine, I’m wondering what is the right sample size and BB/100 to start looking at moving up

I would say around 4 bb/100 is solid performance. Try the next level, and see how you go.
