  • Hit the Showers or Sweat it Out?

Ok so you're playing ur game. Just like normal except this is ONE OF THOSE DAYS. You know the one's. Those one's where even though you're doing nothing different, disasters are waiting on every turn of the card. From your big pairs being sent to the rail, to your straight flush draws hitting neither. You're draws missing like the English footy team, and let's not forget the flopped nuts busted on the river by that one outer.

So i'm wandering what folks opinions are. Is this a valuable time to learn your "minimise your losses" lesson, or is and early shower more valuable than any information gained?

Me? well my time is limited due to work so i'm playing on, with the loudness of my voice slowly getting to window rattling proportions. I'm interested in the different opinions you all have on this subject though

You sound like you're tilting quite badly, & as your state of mind is everything in poker, and some would say life too, I would stop playing for the day. The more you tilt, the more likely you will allow emotion to cloud your judgement when you're making decisions - and that is the absolute worse case scenario for when playing poker.

I agree if you are feeling that Today is one of "those" Days chances are you are not playing your A game.

Could be the prefect time to review some hands and check to see if you are really playing as you normally do? do you have the right outs to call the with your draws or are you giving too good odds when you hit the nuts on the flop... things like that.

Alternatively a nice walk out in the fresh air can be fun too.

If things seem against you on the felt or your missus is pestering, i always reccomend going out for a breather or even some food(chinese)then come back about an hour or so later and you will see a difference lol Joking aside tho i always close the lid on the laptop if things get too unlucky and leave it. Then come back fresh with a clear mind stick to your game and forget about previous bad runsumbup: Fist.
