  • Mixed game rules (couple questions)

Have a couple basic questions on how to play a couple games.

    1. In Razz which hand is best?

    A) K A 2 3 4 or B) Q J 10 9 7

Im guessing it goes by lowest high card so B would be the winning hand even though A has A 2 3 4 low cards.

    2. In Omaha hi lo
Are you able to use two of your hole cards for a high and the other two for a low?

    example)

    Holding 77A2
    Board runs out: 3 4 7 7 8

Would I be able to scoop the pot with quads for high and A2347 For low?
Or do you have to choose just two of your cards and go for either high or low?

    Cheers.

Hi xxmurrxx! For the razz hand, one player has K high, the other has Q high, so the Q high wins. It goes by your highest card, then 2nd highest, then 3rd highest, etc. In any Omaha, the player must use 2 of their hold cards, no more, no less... and in O8, you can use a different two cards for hi vs low. in the example you have, the hands would be 7777A and A2347 You may or may not scoop it (someone else many tie you for the low), but you're winning some portion of both. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)
