  • How to get a trainer

Is there anyway to get a trainer to go through your game on a one to one basis with out having to pay out a fortune for it?

Sure, one of the trainers would be happy to review your hand history during a live training session. What type of games do you play, are you a cash game player, sit n go or MTT player? Raiser umbup:

Ok, I'll let Dave know about this thread and he'll reply to you later with info on how to send the hand histories Cheers, Raiser umbup:

          Hi Miss,

Private coaching (1 on 1) generally is going to have a cost associated with it. Some of the trainers offer this, some don't, but I don't think any offer it for free.

Requesting a Live Training review, while not private/1 on 1, is free to you, compliments of PokerStars. If you would like to request this, you would need to send your pokerstars hand histories in a text file via email to the trainer... you could email me: Dave@mypokerschoolonline.com. If you would like to request a specific trainer, you can do that. We generally will do them on a first come, first serve basis, and plan our schedules in advance so it may take a month or so to see your review on the live training calendar... but the price is right.

          Regards,
          Dave

For private one on one coaching, depending on the individual coach and stake levels you're seeking, pricing could range anywhere from $50/hour on the very low end (microstakes coaches only) to $650+/hour on the high end (high stakes guys). I sought coaching once for 1000nl from a proven winning player at that stake online and his rate was 1K for a 2 hour lesson so $500/hour. So there's a wide range of pricing in private 1 on 1 poker coaching but generally it will be driven by the ability of the coach, and the stakes involved.
