Hi, I started to play poker something like 4 weeks ago and I´ve really gotten into it. I managed to increase my original 40$ bakroll to somewhere around 53$(playing 1c/2c stakes). Lately I´ve been watching a great number of poker videos and I tried real hard to make my game better.

Unfortunately it seems to me that the better I get (I don´t make stupid hero calls and I try to overall think more about every single decision), the less money I earn and lately I even began to lose quite a lot. I just don't understand what has happened or how can I get back on my former line.

    Thanks for every advice

It might seem like you are making less money, but on the long run you will definitely make more money by learning.
Ignore the short term results and focus on improving and playing better, eventually results will come.
But also you need to understand where to apply the things that you learn, since not everyone knows about 3betting ranges, two street value hands and etc.

      Hello Bakelants,

Welcome to PokerSchoolOnline. Here's a short video about PSO and what it has to offer you. Also check out >>This Page<< for more info.

Having a down swing is something that all players experience frequently, even the best players. Sometimes you can make all the best decisions and still lose so try not to focus too much on the results you're getting just now. It's not an easy thing to do but it's better to focus purely on how well you are playing and if you are making correct decisions and then in the long run the results will take care of themselves.

If you're ever unsure that the adjustments you are making to your game are good ones then maybe you could try posting some hands you've played where you are unsure about how they went. We have a great team of hand analysers and lots of members who are keen to help each other out.

We're here to help you so please feel free to ask any questions you may have and thank you for being a member of PokerSchoolOnline.

      Cheers,

      Chris
