  • Bankroll management on larger field SnG's

    Hey,

I took some money out of my poker account because I could use it in real life, and thereby putting me a little bit back in stakes.

But now I have a question about the 180 field SnG's especially the $2,50 turbo and the $4,50 normal. (the $3,50R is out of the question)

Should you treat these SnG's as a tournament or still as SnG (in terms of bankroll management)?

Imo I think a good BRM for the 2,50=50x the buy-in and the 4,50 arround 30-35x the buy in. (because of the 2,50 being a turbo and the 4,50 a normal structure).

So if anyone has any experience with these and has some advice on how to approach these in terms of BRM I would really apreciate it.

    Cheers

    Hi taomage!

I play the 45's and 90's more and even for those, I still use 100 buy-ins as my baseline for them. BRM is something that I'm always going to be on the conservative side on, as I have seen plenty of streaks where 25-50 can get a player in trouble.

In the 45's, I've had multiple variance streaks where I've gone 0 for 20, 0 for 25 and 0 for 30.... and still had a very + ROI after 100 games. These streaks WILL happen... even more-so in 180's.

Fair enough, then I will aproach them as tournaments and also take 100 buy ins as BRM. I am now at 180$ so I will grind a bit before going to the $2,50. Thanks umbup:
