  • Group 3: Speculative Hands

    Hello!

In "Entering The Pot" article I cannot understand the example - "any ace with a kicker lower between a jack and nine, any suited ace".

Does this mean AJ, A10, A9? Then why it says any "suited ace" once more? And where does the hand like AQ unsuited go? Because it is not a Very Strong Hand already.

    Thank you.

Hi scarcelv. Welcome to the forum. You can find an overview of the PSO site here.

The class three hands should include any ace with a 9 to J kicker suited or off suit, and any a with a kicker of the same suit from 2 to 8. I would put the AQ off suit as the best of the speculative hands. Thanks for pointing this problem out.

    Good luck
