  • How Do I make the money on MTT?

I am a poker player from Canada who Plays in MTT's but I find myself having a hard time making it past the first 2/3s of the tourney. If I do go on a run and make to the last 1000 of a ten thousand tourney I find myself beat up by blinds. Any tips?

This is not the sort of question that can be answered in one paragraph.
If it was easy to explain how to cash in MTTs, then everyone would be doing it!
Grinding tourneys is hard. In the PSO league games, one of the best ways to go deep is to play super-tight; only playing pairs and AK until the field is down to about 3000. It's been proven in the past that someone can finish on the leaderboard at the end of the month, just by sitting out every hand! You'll do better than them if you ready to play your big pair when you get dealt it.
Some players can build a big stack by playing lots of hands early on, but once the blinds go up their stacks can be brought crashing down, because the tighter/better players will only be stacking off with monsters.
So the first bit of advice would be to be more selective in your starting hands. Try not to put too much money in the pot unless you're pretty sure you have the best hand.

I'd also recommend you watch Grayson Physioc's SnG tutorials. He recommends playing very tight early on, and then becoming more aggressive when the blinds are "meaningful". This strategy crosses over to MTTs fairly well.

One of the ways to avoid being blinded out in tournaments is to learn strategies for stealing blinds and defending them. Dave has a series of videos on this topic starting with session #81.

        Good luck
