  • Starting hand Chart

The starting hand chart in the cash game course refers to full ring cash games. What adjustments to the chart do we need to make when playing 6 max cash ring games.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

6 max is like playing full ring if the first 3 seats all folded. So UTG in 6 max is roughly equivalent to middle position in a 9-handed game. i.e. If a hand can be opened in middle position on a full ring table, it can be opened in first position on a 6 max table.
There will generally be a bit more aggression in 6 max, and you can play a little looser pre-flop than the hand chart recommends.
