  • straight on the table texas

    Hi,
If a straight comes up on the table after the river - how is the hand determined? who wins?
    Thanks!

Hi Sweetleaf4! If anyone has cards in their hand that can make a higher hand, then the highest hand will win. If the board plays for everyone, it will be a split pot. Good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

example the board runs out 9s7s5c8h6d if nobody holds a 10 (or 10,J) in their hand to make a higher straight, then the players who still remain in the hand after all river bets are made and called (or no bet is made) split the pot.umbup:

Try out the play money games, sometimes it's easier to understand than trying to read it from a book/ webpage.umbup:

ya the straight on the board crushes a pair of aces it's the best five card hand that you can make with the seven cards you have available to you. whether or not you use any of your hole cards. umbup:
