  • How can I improve my mental stamina/focus etc

Hello PSO members! When ever I am tired, unfocused, or mentally drained etc that I become a very poor player and that I make stupid decisions, silly mistakes and I rush into things. I acknowledge this will affect my W2L ratio in the long term, therefore, I would love to hear your tips on how to improve the mental/physical aspect of poker.

I will appreciate any tips or words of guidance and thanks for your time.

    Hi OutTheHouse

A couple things that help me out are youtube videos and snacks, ( bbq dorito's ftw ). Starting a poker session on an empty stomach isn't fun so i'd recommend filling yourself up before a long session.

    Have you tried energy drinks?

I have not tried energy drinks, although I think they would work, they are really sugary and bad for your health/fitness/teeth so I don't want to use them despite them being effective. thanks

Maple Sugar candy.mmmmmmmmmmm....loads of sugar without the tons of caffeine, and acids in those energy drinks. Suck on them, they hardly touch your teeth. umbup:

i eat a good meal.chicken or fish is great! nothing too heavy.. and i keep a bag of trail mix handy for snacking, it has some sugar (but not too much) carbs, and protein in the nuts... works for me. umbup:
