I play in a local pub tourney o and lately there has been some questions raised re all in's.

    SB 1,000
    BB 2,000

the ruling there is if someone goes all in for anything over the BB say 2,100 and there are more than 2 players left in the hand then that is taken as a raise and the next player to act would have to "call" the "bet" if they want to play and it would cost them 4,000. if the remaining players fold then the calling player takes back 1,900 and it goes to a showdown.
I have never come across this before as this is effectively doubling the value of your chips when it's time for an all in if you are short stacked.
Has anyone come across this before?

    Hey Dexterrdeuce !

I've never seen this as well. I think that u can bet any amount that u want as long as it's bigger then the BB.

Do the other players in the pub think this is normal ? or they're surprised too ?
