  • Peeling a card & Floating

Hi all Just two quick questions,

    First

What does "peel a card" mean?

    and Second

How do you or what is a "float"?

Have ben watching Chris Moneymakers videos and he refers alot to both peeling and floating.

    any help please,

    Thanks.

"Peeling a card" is when you decide to see the next card when on a draw, usually with poor pot odds but decent implied odds.

A "Float" is when you call a bet, frequently a continuation bet, with plans to take the initiative on the next street because you think the aggressor may be weak.

    Good Decisions!
