  • How to get going

Someone please show me the light on how to get going!

I cannot win for the life of me.

I am trying the tips I have gained from this site, but having no joy.

I am constantly up against bad luck. The hands that call my raises or all ins are ridiculously weak, but they hit and beat my strong hands. 9 out of 10 time I am all in with the best hand, however, 9 out of 10 times my hand loses from the other player lucking out. It's a lottery on the table's. Strategies are pointless learning if donkeys are always lucking out.

I know I got the ability to win game's, but I haven't got the ability to beat luck. How do I avoid bad luck?

    hey seven,
the quizes that you may have taken here are just not enough. You have to play premium hands in early positions and can losen up when getting closer to the button. There is a nice link that might be helpful to get you started in the right direction which is http://www.everythingpoker.com go through those and im sure you will pick up some nice information on how you can better your game. If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

Keep plugging away imo. The best way to learn imo is to play and review key hands where you win big and lose big. Remember it's not always your exit hand that does the damage. Look for key hands in your game and ask yourself what if questions.

When I look at a hand, I try and see it from my opponents perspective. I use Holdem Manager but you can run through a hand with odds on several sites:

Hope this is of some use to you.

hey seven, can i ask you how many games a day or week you are playing and at what buyin level and format?
This is important to able to access your situation as different game dynamics have different ways to play.
Do you play TAG poker? if so what group is your starting hands range?
I personally am not a great winning player however am a very improved player and i had the same problem as you, getting my money in good and still losing, however with some help have realised a few things so i may be able to help you.

Post some of your hands in the Hand Analysis section with your thoughts on the hand and players you are playing against.
People on PSO will tell you where you went wrong and what you did right. Also they will tell you what you should have been thinking and or betting.
