  • Quick bankroll question

I am going to be exclusively playing micro 45-man sit-n-go's for a while. I was thinking of doing 100 as a set like Cowboy's challenge. I started with $23.32 and played a few $.50 and now have $29.31. I was wondering if $.50 is a sensible buy in for my roll or if I should drop down to $.25. What do you think? Any advice is much appreciated.

So to put it simply, is 50 or 100 buy-ins recommended at the micro 45man level?

Something like 40 buyins for 50c turbo 45mans should be plenty.

So something like this might work.

    under $20 - play 25c
    $20-$40 - play 50c
    $40-$90 - play $1
    over $90 - play $1.50

Do keep in mind to only play within your comfort zone. If a few big wins shoot your BR up real quick and you don't feel you've played enough games feel free to stay at a lower level to continue learning or building confidence. If you feel like some easier games feel free to drop down stakes for a day.

A bankroll management plan is only to prevent you from going broke. It shouldn't force you into playing games you aren't comfortable in.

19honu62 does bring up a point. if you are massively multitabling, you will need a higher buyin multiplier than single or 2 tabling.

      Another plug.

My blog talks about the things you should take into account when developing your own bankroll management plan.

Thanks for the advice ahar, I will check out your blog. I shall continue with the $.50 for now. I have only just started logging my progress and I am working on the assumption that so long as stick to micro 45mans, and not play when too tired, then I should make some long term profit. If I don't make profit then obviously I will need to adjust my game. As far as multi-tabling is concerned, I am not comfortable with more than two at a time at the moment. If/when I am I will consider entering the skill leagues again for added value. Thanks for the input.
