  • ROI question

I have recently started to play the .25/45 man sng's exclusively and am keeping close track of them.
I want to make sure I am calculating ROI correctly and get it set in my thick head how to do it.

I have played 28 of these in the last few weeks for a total investment of $7.00.
I have moneyed in 9 of them for a total of $17.20.

I figured my ROI to be:

    $17.20-$7.00/$7.00
    10.20/7= 1.457 x 100 = 145% ROI

    Can this be right?

Seems a bit high. I know it is a small sample, but

Just as anything can happen in a small sample of hands anything can happen in a small sample of tournaments. But you are off to a great start; although it will take a sample size in the thousands to determine your actual ROI. Keep up the good work, Freckld.

Yes it's right and the ITM percentage is pretty good as well.

Take lots and lots of notes if you plan on grinding a decent sized number of these as you'll see a lot of the same players over and over again. I had only gotten to around 280 of these and every time I loaded them up (usually 3 45's and 1 90 at the end) I would see about 3-6 familiar "faces" per game.

        Keep it going.

I just use the official poker rankings website, but it only captures a minimum of 36 players in S&G I believe, you will get a "semi" accurate ROI there.
