Well done JusesCrust1! You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player. Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Great job JusesCrust1! You passed the Cash Game Quiz and so you've shown that you have a great understanding of the fundamentals of playing poker. We have now credited your account with your 2nd bonus. Step Three Please play a 1/2 cent Real Money table at PokerStars and, using the Hand Replayer, post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer. NB: You must post a Cash Game hand only, tournament hands do not count for this promotion. You must use the Hand Replayer only to post your hand, we cannot accept hands posted in any other way. Once you post your hand one of our Trainers will analyse it for you so please post an interesting hand where you have questions. Give as much information about the hand as possible, for example, had you any reads on your opponents? flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Ok... So this is a hand i doubled my stack with. But i still think i've played it wrong. I had 7h8h and i limped pre-folp because it's a speculative and my position helped a little to see a cheap flop. So the flop was 4,4,8 giving me two pairs. My question is if my raise and calling the re-raise was the correct play there. I made that play thinking about the expected value of the pot.

Hi JusesCrust1, Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you. He will do this normally within the next 24 hours (but can sometimes take a little longer, especially at weekends) and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step. flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Hi JusesCrust1! Preflop, limping behind in late position with suited connectors is great. You get to see a cheap flop with a hand that has the potential to flop a monster. With speculative hands we always want to see the flop cheaply and with multiple opponents. Note, If you were first to act preflop (it folded to you) then we want to open with a raise. Here there were several limpers, so limping behind is perfect. You are hoping to flop a straight or flush draw. Here you flop top pair on a paired board. This is actually a dangerous spot for you as the flop misses most hands. The hands it does help are beating you such as 4x, 8x higher kicker and pocket pairs 99+. We should bet as you did here, but I do not recommend betting more than the pot. I prefer about 70% of the pot. Overbetting as you did often results in getting us value owned. This means all the hands we are beating fold and only the hands beating us continue resulting in us winning small pot or losing a big one. Calling the raise is very opponent dependant. If we know the villain is the type to aggressively bet a flush draw, then we can continue with the hand. If they only raise postflop when they have a strong hand, then we can fold. As played, the villain's small bet size on the turn and especially the river look to be a weak hand. If we have this read/tell on the villain, then raising all in is great. However, without a read, I prefer to play it safe and just call the river bet. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX
