          Brilliant!

You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

          Step Two

The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player.

Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in.

          Best of Luck!

Hi, this is my interesting hand: Opponent open on the button 6$. I think it is tight passive weak player. His VPIP is around 20 and he folds raise 2$ in 20$+ pot few times. His PFR is zero, but I play only few hands with him. Small blind folds. I am on big blind and I call. Proper action was fold, but I want to try play against this weak player. I hope for wide range on the button and I consider stealing blinds from button too. Flop give me two pairs hand, but possibilities for straight or flush draw for opponent. I bet half pot out of possition. I want killing pot odds for straight or flash draw. I think check is bad play, because it is free card for opponent in this wet flop. I think pot bet is too much, becasue I dont see possibly fold from opponent now. Opponent call. What is about his pocket cards? He is tight passive player on the buton and he call me only. I think about Ax, QJ+, two diamonds. I think he was made one pair, flush or straight draw. If he was set, problably he should reraise my bet. Turn was 6c, nothing for me, because I hope only for second ace or ten on the board and full house. But I think it is nothing for opponent too and he was only one made pair. I bet half pot again for value. Opponent call again. I think, he was top pair. River was Qh. No possibility for flush, but possibility for opponents straight or two pair hand. Because this card is for me too scary and I am out of possition, I only check. Opponent check and I won. My questions: Was acceptable and correct preflop call? Was enough only half pot bet on the flop? Was correct check on the river or I should bet for value? Thank you for your answers. mrslf

Yes, there is a lot of merit entering a single raised pot, our hand will have a decent amount of equity versus a button opening range and it'll flop a strong pair ... keep in mind that even the tightest players tend to loosen up their starting hand requirements when they enter middle to late position.

I'd prefer using the standard sizing of 2/3 to 3/4 pot size, this is a really draw heavy board and there are alot of cards that can peel off that hurt the villains course of action and likely ours too, so let's get what value we can now before the board dictates what "standard line" should be given, if we bet 3/4 pot we will have set up the stack to pot ratio to get it all in on the turn.

Yes, it's absolutely fine to be checking this spot to try and get to showdown, however if we used larger sizings on previous streets there would be more merit jamming all in on the river as a bluff and/or value. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
