Well done WellPlayed92! You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player. Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Great Job WellPlayed92! You passed the Cash Game Quiz and so you've shown that you have a great understanding of the fundamentals of playing poker. We have now credited your account with your 2nd bonus. Step Three Please play a 1/2 cent Real Money table at PokerStars and, using the Hand Replayer, post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer. NB: You must post a Cash Game hand only, tournament hands do not count for this promotion. You must use the Hand Replayer only to post your hand, we cannot accept hands posted in any other way. Once you post your hand one of our Trainers will analyse it for you so please post an interesting hand where you have questions. Give as much information about the hand as possible, for example, had you any reads on your opponents? flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Hi WellPlayed92, Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you. He will do this normally within the next 24 hours (but can sometimes take a little longer, especially at weekends) and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step. flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

                      Hi Wellplayed,

First tip - don't post the BB if you don't have to, just wait a minute or two until the Big Blind reaches you.

As played I like your preflop raise and sizing, unfortunately you get a lot of callers which means you have to play cautiously.

Generally I don't ever like to bluff when there's 5 players in the pot, as the likelihood of somebody having a very strong hand is higher than normal. Also, you have to persuade more people to fold, which is hard to do! If you are going to CBet, I'd make it large to try and encourage people to fold. Making your CBet less than 1/3 of the pot isn't going to get four folds, you should bet more than 80% pot, something like $0.30-$0.35.

The turn doesn't change much, if you were ahead before you still are, if you were behind, you're now possibly even further behind. I would just check here to try and control the size of the pot in case villain has a monster hand that he's slowplaying. Also you don't want to really give him the chance to raise as a bluff because you might still have the best hand here.

What would you like the result of your bet to be? Would you like him to call with worse or fold better (say a small overpair to the board). In both cases, I think a larger bet would serve your purpose better. Keep it smaller, like 1/2 pot if you're value betting, make it slightly larger if you're bluffing.

The same advice applies to the river as to the turn.

Don't overplay marginal hands like these. Furthermore, don't make your bets small if you are bluffing and big if you have a good hand, you will be very easy to read as you start to move up limits.

Good luck in your poker journey!
