Well done Rokscia! You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player. Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Great Job Rokscia! You passed the Cash Game Quiz and so you've shown that you have a great understanding of the fundamentals of playing poker. We have now credited your account with your 2nd bonus. Step Three Please play a 1/2 cent Real Money table at PokerStars and, using the Hand Replayer, post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer. NB: You must post a Cash Game hand only, tournament hands do not count for this promotion. You must use the Hand Replayer only to post your hand, we cannot accept hands posted in any other way. Once you post your hand one of our Trainers will analyse it for you so please post an interesting hand where you have questions. Give as much information about the hand as possible, for example, had you any reads on your opponents? flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Hand replay Readless. Was it a good call preflop with the hooks? mileypoker:

Hi Rokscia Thanks for posting the hand, but it needs to be a hand from a $0.01/$0.02 9-player cash game only. So sorry but we won't be analysing the above hand but we wait for your cash game hand. flophitter umbup:

Hand replay I'm sorry for the last hand. I thought you were asking me for a play money hand. Here's one from NL cash game. Readless, as it's from zoom table.

Hi Rokscia, Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you. This is normally done within 24 hours (but can sometimes take a little longer, especially at weekends) and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step. Cheers! flophitter umbup:

                        Hi Rokscia,

On your Play Money hand, I think your call preflop with JJ was fine.

Now the Real Money hand. Basically I thought you played the hand extremely well.

The preflop raise is great and I like the size.

On the flop my normal continuation bet size would be about 2/3 pot. However your sizing is not as important as the fact that you bet for value, which is good. You are likely to get called by all sorts in a SB vs BB battle, the BB generally tends to be very non-believing.

It is your turn and river play that I am most impressed with. A lot of weaker players get scared by the Q and stop betting. However until your opponent gives you a reason to believe that he's got a Q, you should keep betting for value from worse hands like 88, 77, 6x, 78, 79, 43, 44, 33, 22 and random A-high hands that sometimes don't know how to fold. Having said that, I would bet bigger than you did, somewhere between 1/2 - 2/3 pot. If you bet small with your weaker hands and big with your stronger hands, you will become very easy to read. Also by betting so small, you're giving your opponent a good price to draw.

Again for the same reasons I like your bet on the river. This is called a "thin value bet". This means that you are betting for value to get calls from worse hands, but you might sometimes get called by a better hand. However you will win more often than you lose, which makes the bet profitable. I like your bet sizing on the river, because you are wanting to get called by a fairly weak hand, so making a bet smaller than half pot makes sense.

                        Well played!
