Well done mxmaniac555! You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player. Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Great Job mxmaniac555! You passed the Cash Game Quiz and so you've shown that you have a great understanding of the fundamentals of playing poker. We will credit your account with your 2nd bonus later today. Step Three Please play a 1/2 cent Real Money table at PokerStars and, using the Hand Replayer, post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer. NB: You must post a Cash Game hand only, tournament hands do not count for this promotion. You must use the Hand Replayer only to post your hand, we cannot accept hands posted in any other way. Once you post your hand one of our Trainers will analyse it for you so please post an interesting hand where you have questions. Give as much information about the hand as possible, for example, had you any reads on your opponents? flophitter umbup: Team PokerSchoolOnline

Bankroll Builder Cash Game Hand Analysis Hello, I was very lucky noone had raised pre-flop because I would have surely folded. I got lucky when the flop came 3 clubs. I decided a minimum bet would be best not to build the pot but to get information on whom else was interested in the flop and what they may be holding. Any strong raise and I would have been out of there seeing how I only had a Q and had not made my flush yet. I would have preferred others to call then checked to the river then bet had I made a flush. 1. Should I have just checked behind everyone else and waited to hit a flush before betting? 2. What should I have done had someone bet before me? 3. What should I have assumed had someone called my minimum bet and would a re-raise tell me if they had a strong flush draw, already made the flush or were bluffing? You don't have to explain all the possibilities because I know what the charts advise but how would you, personally, have approached the hand in my position or the position of others? Thanks, Grant

Hi mxmaniac555, Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you. This is normally done within 24 hours (but can sometimes take a little longer, especially at weekends) and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step. Cheers! flophitter umbup:

Hi Grant! Sorry for the delay in replying! There are a few important points here. Firstly, you paid the big blind out of turn!? Never do this, it just drains your bankroll. As you said yourself, you would have had to fold to any raise preflop. Check the box "wait for big blind" and use the time to start building reads on the opponents- As played, you did get to see a free flop. You have a pair and outs to a decent flush. In spots like this I would bet. My way of thinking is that if you are willing to call a bet, you are better off betting yourself here. I would sugget betting at least half the pot though. Anything smaller, min-bets in particular do not help you. It isnt big enough to get many folds, nor is it big enough to get you max value. Had someone bet, you have 14 fairly decent outs, so we can call a normal flop bet. Since you only min-bet, you are encouraging people to raise you. So, we cant narrow their range too much. What makes this spot tough is that you are not drawing to the nut flush. So we don't know if those outs are good. Nonetheless, your hand has enough potential to bet at least one street, and another if you make a flush. I wouldnt bet 3 streets though. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

Thanks for the hand Analysis Roland GTX!

Wow, that's some awsome advice! I wasn't expecting such a detailed response. I agree with those points you made, Roland GTX. I will keep studying my numbers so I'm more confident making larger bets and trusting it will pay off for me in the long run.
