          Brilliant!

You've passed the basic test and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

          Step Two

The Poker Basics test was easy right? Well, there's a lot more to learn on the road to becoming a profitable poker player.

Now study the Cash Game course and once you think you have it mastered have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

Let us know as soon as you have passed the Cash Game Quiz and we will award you with your next buy-in.

          Best of Luck!

Ok, I would like the Trainers' opinion on my playing of this hand: I'm not sure if my seat is considered LP on this hand, since there were three open seats between the BB and me. I would also like to know if my raises were correct or not, and if I should've raised on the river as well. Thanks.

I've got no response from my previous post so I'll try again with another hand: Here's my thinking of it: I was in mid position with sixes and everybody before me folded, so I called. Both blind call as well. I get a set from the flop, which is good, but the other cards made it possible for a flush draw or a straight, and my set was with the lowest card. So when the BB raised I thought it was best to fold. There was another six on the river, which would give me a sure win, but it turned out that even my set would be good enough to win that hand. So I wonder if I did the wrong thing by folding at the flop. Thanks.

Hi, Hand Analysis Sitting on this stack depth of about 70bb in late position, I'd consider folding this hand preflop, there are several combos of Qx that have us outkicked and many other Ax Kx hands that have us slightly dominated. There are 16 combos of each of these hands AQ KQ QJ QT and let's also factor in pocket pairs AAKK QQ JJ TT. A good rule of thumb when electing to enter the pot first in is to raise 3x the big blind +1bb for each limper, this will help to ensure that you have the intiative post flop, a pot is built and it will thin the amount of players involved in the pot which will greatly improve our overall decision making post flop. Post flop I would bet 2/3 to 3/4 pot size on all three streets (flop, turn and river) this is to ensure value is made and it will give the villain decent pot odds to chase a four flush or take a pot control line with an inferior Qx or pot control line with Kx. Hand Analysis A good rule of thumb when electing to enter the pot first in is to raise 3x the big blind +1bb for each limper, this will help to ensure that you have the intiative post flop, a pot is built and it will thin the amount of players involved in the pot which will greatly improve our overall decision makiing post flop. I'd raise on the flop for pure value, this is a middling board texture that will hit a wide blind defending range A9 K9 Q9 J9 T9 98 (16 combos of each hand), I wouldn't be to concerned about T7 or 57 being present and two card flush combos account for such a small portion of just about evey players range. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
