I have all the 3 steps completed. I raised pre-flop because I was expecting maybe a flush. I managed to flop two pair, then I felt kind of confident to re-raise again multiple times and in the end I won the pot. Please advise what I should do next.

Hi, Hand Analysis We are only going to flop a flush draw about 17% which wont be often enough for us to profitably play a marginal jack with a low kicker, plus, with so many players left to act behind us there are still several combos of Jx that have us out kicked aswell better spade combos. Post flop, I wouldn't have checked back the turn, there are several drawing hands and mediocre holdings that we can get value from by making a bet sizing of 2/3 to 3/4 pot size...some players check their draws or weak holdings..but they'll also call bets with them to. We need to build the stack to pot ratio for the river to get our stack all in... Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

              Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

              Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

              1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
              2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
              3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

              Best of Luck!

Step 1: Step 2: Watched the video. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? To put a lot of pressure on the opponents. To bluff people off decent hands. To gain value from very strong hands. Step 3: I'm still working on the step 3. I'll let you know when I pass the Cash Game quiz.

                      Hi Dan,

Congratulations on your progress so far!

You get 33 in Early Position. I think this hand is too weak to raise with so many people still left to act, so you can either limp like you did or fold. I think both plays are fine. If we had 33 in Middle or Late Position, I would be much more tempted to open for a raise.

You then face a very large raise from V8. I think calling this large of a bet is a mistake. With 33, the only way you can realistically continue with the hand after the flop has been dealt is if you flop a set, which will happen roughly 12% of the time (1 in 8 times). However when you do flop a set you have a very good chance of winning your opponent's entire stack. The majority of times when you don't flop a set, you will usually only lose a small amount.

There are some guidelines when to profitably "setmine". If you are going to be Out of Position (like in your hand), the smaller (or effective) stack (because when you go all in you can only win the smaller stack) should be 20 times larger than size of the bet you have to call. Because V6 has a short stack and made such a large raise, his stack is only 4 times the size of what you have to call ($0.14), so you should fold.

If you're in position, you can profitably call to setmine if the effective stack is 15 times larger than the amount you have to call because it's easier to outplay the opponent in position.

Low pocket pairs play best in cheap pots with multiple players, so when you flop a set, there is a higher chance that somebody will pay you off.
