Hello, You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job! NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future First Step Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey. After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer. Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course. So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus. 1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video 2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer 3) Pass the Poker Basic course. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed. Best of Luck! Raiser umbup:

Bankroll Builder - fagdi - the first three steps completed Was my call on the river a good play or should I have raised (or went all-in) because the other player made a bet instead of going all-in if he really had the winning hand? I have one more important question but I didn't want to wait for the actual hand to occur as it does not happen often. What if I get AA or AK at the start? What would be the correct behavior from my part? Do I make a medium bet if I am the first to play or what do I do? Do I call or raise if I am not the first? That would be very helpful to me to understand the game a bit better. Thank You.

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.

He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

Hi fagdi! With J8o from the cutoff, I get one limper in front of me. I need to muck here and wait for a better hand. My hand is not very good and is not worth raising with. Since it's not strong enough to raise with, I need to muck. If I had AJ, KJ, JJ or maybe QJ or JT, then I would make a standard raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper, but other hand with a jack are too weak and need to be folded. I want to be putting my chips into the pot when I'm most likely ahead, not when I'm behind. Any hand that I want to play preflop, I will always make a standard bet to 3BB+1BB for each limper in an unraised pot or make a standard raise (3X the previous bet to a pot-sized raise) as a re-raise. One thing that I do not do is to ever open-limp as it's a play that is easily exploited by better players. I want to keep all of my bets and raises standard, as this helps to conceal the strength of my hand. Players that bet more with better hands and less with marginal ones are basically turning their cards face-up to an observant opponent... something that I need to avoid. If I saw the flop (which I would not), when I hit top pair and get two abnormally small bets in front of me, I'm going to raise. Bets postflop need to be sized based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With 3 opps, I need to bet 3/4 pot, so I will raise by 3/4 pot to 618...BUT... this is over 1/3 of my remaining chips, which means that I'll be pot-committed by this bet and cannot fold if I make it. Due to this, I need to shove the flop. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

It's now been over 48 hours and you wrote in the previous post the bonus will be credited within 24 hours.
Do I find it under Cashier->Summary, or somewhere else?

                      100 hours and counting

Also I can not take the cash game quiz. It says I have to take prior quiz? But when I try the only one I can take is the one I had to pass for the first bonus and I did pass that one. What do I do?

I see the problem and know what's causing the delay. You still have not passed the Poker Basic Quiz The screen-shots you posted above are from the 5 question Poker Assessment Quiz which is not the same as the 15 question Poker Basics Quiz. Here's the link again to the quiz you need to pass Let us know as soon as you pass this quiz and we'll get your Bankroll Builder progress back on track! Cheers, Raiser umbup:

I did take the quiz the first time as well, but I took it once more after that and I failed, so maybe that caused the problems. I took one now and I passed with 88%, but I got the following message (3rd picture)

Please Note: Due to the holiday period please allow extra time for your Bankroll Builder reply from the Team
Hi there, I don't know what the problem is then but definitely you are not showing as passed on our system. Please send an email to and one of the PokerStars team will assist you with this. Moderators at the school have no access to members personal accounts so only the Support Team can help you with this Cheers, Raiser umbup:

I've received an email from the support explaining what all the confusion was about. I took the test again and it should be OK now. Could you please confirm that?
