Hi simonatoo! With KQo in the BB, I get two limps, a min-raise and a 3-bet to 17. While KQ does have some potential, it's not strong enough to call a raise with, let alone a re-raise. Due to this, I need to muck and wait for a better hand or a better situation. If I did have a strong enough hand to 4-bet with here, since a standard re-raise is to 3X the previous bet and this bet is 1/3 of my remaining stack, I would shove now, but I'm only doing this with AA, KK, QQ or maybe AK or JJ. All other hands are too weak to shove. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

                      2) A player may want to take a big bet to...

Put a lot fo pressure on opponents.
                      Bluff people off decent hands
Gain value from very strong hands
                      To protect against strong draws

Hi simonatoo! Preflop you have A7s AND position on the raiser. Ask yourself, what are you hoping to flop? A flush draw would be great. A7 doesn't give you straight draws. Moreover, the 7 makes for a weak kicker if you flop an A. The original raiser may have a better kicker than you. This makes for a dangerous spot where you can lose a big pot with top pair. Actually, I prefer folding preflop. I would call with A2s-A5s and A10-AK, but fold A6-A9. You decided to 3bet. What are you hoping for here? A7 is not strong enough to bet 3bet for value as no hands worse than yours will call. At 2NL I would rarely 3b as a bluff either since players tend to call moreoften than fold. As played you get two callers which is not good. The flop misses your hand completely since you don't have a pair or any draw. In spots like this it is unlikely that your hand will improve on the remaining streets. Just check-fold and save your chips for a better spot. Betting big as you did will get you value owned. This means only hands beating you will call and after the preflop action at least one of the villains will have a stonger hand than yours. There is nothing to cry over here though as long as you learn from your mistakes and choose a better line in the future. No worriesumbup: GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX
