Every Poker player experiences what you are feeling. Remember, you'll make most profit in poker not from your own skill but instead from profiting from other players mistakes. The hand above that you posted is an example of how your opponent profited from your mistake. is connected and suited and can often play well in a multi-way pot so your call here Preflop is not a terrible play. The Flop however did not help you at all and there was no reason to bet the flop even though it was checked around to you. The board here is too dangerous to bluff with your hand here. Once you opponent called your bet on the flop and again on the Turn it was clear he was slow playing you. He made more profit from you when you didn't spot that this was happening and bet the River also. Raiser umbup:

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

Player may want to bet big to gain value for his hand, bluff or protect his hand from potential draws.

Hi Andreas22222! KJo is a good hand to open with if it folds around to you on the btn. Here with the early position limper a read on the villain would help determine the best line. We can normally assume they are fairly weak with some sort of speculative hand (low pair or suited, connected cards). Leading out on the flop is great with top pair; however, your betsize is a bit heavy. Betting big risks getting value owned. It is more likely that the hands you are beating fold which means you win less when you are ahead, nd only hands beating you continue which means you lose more when behind. The villain could call with all his range here. The paired Q on the turn doesn't help you, but might help the villain. It is less clear now if you are ahead. You only have a single pair hand. If the villain has a Q, we are in trouble. So, I would normally check behind since we can't be sure we are betting for value. On the river, the flush just got there. Checking the hand down is perfect here. It is unlikely that a bet would get any hands beating you to fold. Moreover, you do have some showdown value with top pair in case the villain has 1010, JJ or something and couldn't find the fold btn earlier. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX
