Hi justtfishing! With AKo on the button, when I get 2 limpers in front of me, I'm going to make a standard raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper. With this being the case, I will raise to 10. I want to keep all of my bets and raises standard, so that the opps are continually guessing as to the cards that I'm playing. Players that bet more or less based on the strength of their hand are basically turning their cards face up to an observant opponent.. something that I need to avoid. I see a 3-way flop and when it checks to me, I'm going to make a c-bet. The key is the sizing of it. Bets postflop need to be made based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With 2 opps in the hand, I need to bet 2/3 pot (19 chips). I cannot bet less than this or not only the bet doesn't look right, I can be giving the opps the correct odds to try to outdraw me. I now get min-raised by the opp and I need to see if I have the right odds to call. I need to put 10 chips into a pot that will be 68 (14.7%). I have 6 outs and from the rule of 4 and 2, each out is worth 2% to the turn... so my hand equity is 12%. Since my pot equity is less than my hand equity, I need to fold. I want to be calling bets when my hand is worth more than my pot odds. When the pot odds are higher, I need to be patient, muck and wait for a better hand. Whether I call or fold is based on these odds and whether I expect to gain or lose chips. If my hand equity is worth more, I expect to gain chips. When the pot equity is higher, I expect to lose chips. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Thank you The analysis was very thorough and made me realize my raise on the flop should have been higher to make it look more convincing. Will keep this in mind while playing umbup:

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!
