Hand Replayer Hi! Im posting 2 hand replays if you dont mind, it is both a big pocket pair and just want to ask something. So here is the first hand: Pocket 10 Blinds are 10/20, so i raised my pocket 10 to 140 and everybody folded ( was that too much of a raise for pocket 10? 2nd hand is: Pocket Jacks JJ Im in the big blind position and everybody just limped, so i raised my pocket jacks to 80 and try to get more value for my card. I really dont know if i should have raised it a bit more because i might not get any action or money just like my pocket 10 earlier so i kind of raised it to a callable amount. Everybody who limped just called, flop comes Qh 6s As and i thought "OH NO!" 2 over cards. So as the original raiser i continued betting and test if they have the over cards or not, i bet just half the pot for testing and i got called and one folded. So in my mind those who called have the over cards and i would just have to fold in the turn but the turn card was a JACK and my hand improved so i bet again thinking i have the best hand, but the other player raised all in and the other called. So i have to think for a second, i can beat whatever pair or two pair they got, but there is a straight possibility too in there. But my gut says they dont have it so i called and a KING showed on the river, i was lucky my gut was right and i won) So my question is did i play this hand well? Sorry for the long story telling haha

Thank you for posting this hand for review and I have asked one of the Hand Analysers to take a look at it for you.

He will do this within the next 24 hours and once it's been analysed I will advise on the next step.

              Cheers.

From under the gun, I would open with AQs+ or 1010+. As played, any time you are the first to enter the pot, always do so with a raise, regarless of your cards! Make a standard 3bb raise. This helps limit the number of players which in turn improves your chances of winning. Here you limp in and get a very big raise. Even though you get a whole string of callers, folding would again have been best. It is very unlikely that you have the best hand. Moreover, your hand is going to be hard to play postflop unless you make a straight. You did well to be cautious postflop until you paired the J. However, on the river where you get trips, there is so much in the pot that you should just move all in for your remaining chips. It will still be a small bet compared to the pot and will often enough get called by worse hands. This hand worked out great for you, but remember, at 2NL real money, the play is tougher. So, only open with strong hands from early position GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

                      Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                      Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                      1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                      2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                      3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                      Best of Luck!
