AA on position I have a few droughts about the bet size. I was on position with the best hand possible pre Flop (AA). I bet 5 x BB in my first bet and after that POT size until the end (river) when the last card gave the possibility of a sequence for the other guy. 1 - in my last bet Should I be more careful or my read of the opponent was right? He had another hand (not a sequence) other wise he would had drop the hand before that due to the size of my bets on flop and turn? 2 - the first bet (5X BB) was right or can I be more aggressive? do you have any other advice?

Hi, Hand Analysis It's always nice to look down at the best starting hand in NLHE! But the tricky part is how do we maximize the value we can make with hand post flop given certain table dynamics. Post flop, Villain3 and 8 are sitting deep enough to call our large contiuation bet sizing and all three of us are sitting with a deep stack depth...so let's make the standard bet sizing on the flop, turn and river to set up the stack to pot ratio...2/3 to 3/4 pot size is a good rule of thumb when deciding what amount to bet...there are plenty of worse hands that we can get value from, J9 A9 KJ KQ K9 or inferior Ax combos! Nice hand and well played! Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

                          Hi gcollart,

I think your raise size is fine, usually I stick with 3x bb but on the micros I think 4x is fine because we can get called at a higher frequency. Just make sure you stick to one size whichever you chose but don't bet big with your strong hands and bet smaller with your weak hands or people will pick up on that. Unfortunate we didn't get action for our Aces.
