Hi smartDogo! With KQo, I get two limps in front of me. I'm going to make a standard raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper or 50 chips. I want to keep all of my raises standard as this helps to keep the opps guessing as to the cards that I'm playing. Opps that bet more with better hands and less with marginal ones are basically turning their cards face-up to an observant opponent... something that I want to avoid. I then get 2 calls and the next opp makes an abnormally large raise to 195 and is called. While KQ does have some potential, it's not a strong enough hand to call this raise with, so I now need to muck this preflop. If I had AK or KK, then I'd call or re-raise, but all other hands with a king are too weak and need to be mucked. If I saw the flop (which I would not), I see that I flop top pair/2nd kicker and an opp shoves. While I do have top pair, it's not strong enough to call a shove with and due to this, I need to muck. If I had two pair, I'd consider calling and if I had the straight, then I would call. One pair hands are too weak and need to be mucked. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

Hi, Hand Analysis Did you have any specific reads on villain1? Have they been playing tight? This is a hand that should be considered the top of our range and rarely ever are we going to get coolered by a villain showing up with a higher pocket pair...although this is the fourth best starting hand we still need to tread with caution post flop, any over card that comes or draw have boards that are of the middling nature. Given the pre-flop sequence it's unlikely the villain has 77 or 44, the majority of this villains range could easily contain AK AQ AJ AT (16combos of each holding) and possibly with a stray club willing to play for stacks post flop for a flush draw and two overs...JJ TT 99 could also be in their range. Since we min raised them on the flop, (i'd prefer just raising all in to close the action) we are priced in to call we are going to be ahead of so much of their range. Unfortuante outcome to this hand. Hope this helps. PS. Love Argentino Dogos, I do not have one, but I just recently got a Rottweiler, I'll have to look into if there are breeders in this area that have the dogo. Kind regards, CannonLee
