Hi again, I have completed all three steps. Here is a hand I would like analysed. I lost the hand but am wondering if I should have folded and where this should have happened.

Hi, Hand Analysis Sitting on about a 100bb stack I would have folded this hand from this early of a position. Even though it appears that our pot odds are good pre-flop, versus a huge isolation raise and a call from the blinds...our hand isn't fairing to well from an equity stand point. The only time I might consider playing a low suited connector is if we were in a later postion such as the cutoff or button if the action folded around to us. There are just going to be to many other hands that have us beat pre-flop with the amount of players behind us left to act. This hand also wont be flopping a two card flush draw often enough coupled with the times we manage to catch some piece of the board, whether it be pair or some equity to a straight draw....we wont feel comfortable putting bets in as most board textures will contain over cards. "The biggest post flop mistakes are made pre-flop, meaning, starting hand selection and position". Focus on playing strong value hands, for the stakes that you are about to be playing it will prove the most profitable approach. Also, side note. Post flop there is no need to semi bluff on an Ahigh flop, there are going to be 16 combos of Ax, A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 A8 A9 AT AJ AQ AK that are possibly present given the nature of it being a multiway pot...All of which are going to call us down or raise. Plus, there are several other two card flush combos that have us beat on the draw. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

Excellent! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! umbup:

                1) Here is a hand I played. I won the pot but am not sure whether a - I made a poor play and just got lucky b - I extracted maximum value 2) Three reasons you want to make a large bet - To put a lot of pressure on opponents - To bluff people off decent hands - To gain value from very strong hands 3) I'm still working on this challenge. I will update when completed

Hi, Hand Analysis Even though the action folds around to us on the button at a short handed table, this isn't a hand that will flop all that well, the huge gap between the jack and five limit the over playabilty of this hand coupled with not knowing for certain if our kicker card is good enough..given that there are still two other vilains left to act behind us there is a good chance a better range of Jx is live AJ KJ QJ JT J9 J8 JJ and other combos of hands that have us beat.. Post flop, we had the intiative in the pot being the pre-flop raiser plus a positional advantage...when checked to i would have continuation be the standard amount of 2/3 to 3/4 the pot size. On the turn, villain4 could have a range of weak Qx but given that there is two queens on the board we cna take card removal into account from their range..given our pot odds the call is fine, but keep in mind that our kicker card could prove to be a problem at showdown so it would be wise to not raise (without specific reads). As for the river play, it's very unlikely the villain has Qx there are several stray diamond combos that the villain could have been semi-bluffing on the turn and quote possibly Jx and 9x..calling is fine in this spot if you feel there aren't to many worse hands that would call a raise...but on the other hand...there is only a handful of combos that have us beat so a raise on the river would have maximed your potential value.. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
