Hi, You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job! NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future First Step Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basics Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course. So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus. 1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video 2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer 3) Pass the Poker Basic course. Hi, Hand Analysis A good general rule of thumb when deciding to enter the pot for a raise is to make a sizing of 3x the big blind (and 1bb per limper). Making any sizing bigger than the amount just mentioned while being the first to enter the pot may telegraph the strength of our hand and get worse hands to folds more often than call. Post flop, villain4's leading range on this board texture could easily be weighted towards Kx K9s KT KJ KQ AK (16 combos of each hand) and given the amount they had to call from the small blind pre-flop knowing they'll be at a positional disadvantage post flop makes their story just a tad bit more convincing. The times that we raise on this type of dry board texture and get called, we should certainly consider shutting down on future streets..as we will only get action from a better made hand(by no means is this default as each individual villain has different tendencies). Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

Excellent! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! umbup:

Bankroll Builder Step 2 Here are a couple of interesting hands for analysis. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? 1: To put opponents under pressure. 2: To bluff opponents. 3: To maximize the value of strong hands. I have also completed the Cash Game quiz with a score of 88%

Hi, Hand Analysis Sitting on a stack depth of close to 100bb, this is a hand we should be folding in this position, there are 5 villains left to act behind us and that would increase the likelyhood of a better range of Jx being present or premium holdings. Also, if i decide that I am going to enter the pot, I will enter for the standard raise of 3x the big blind..this will help give us the intiative post flop. Interesting spot regarding the pot odds we are getting, 4 to 1 is a decent price to try and flop some equity to a flush or straight draw..although keep in mind our main objective with this hand is to not play it for top pair. Post flop, we happen to flop super strong..now it's just a matter of how we can extract the most value. I wouldn't be to concerned about another range of 9x being present or 22..with the two 9's on the flop we can take card removal into account from the villains range. Did you have any specific reads on villain2 about their overall tendencies from previously played hands? When they go all in into 3 other players it appears they have an over pair TT JJ QQ KK AA or they flush draw... That was very generous of them to go all in with KQ high card, maybe it was a misclick! lol Nice hand! Hand Analysis I would have raised 3x the big blind +1bb for each limper, 8c total preflop..this is purely to extract value from villain7 and hopefull isolate their weak range of holdings. Any reads on villain6, have they been playing tight? Even though we are not properly priced in on a call preflop..generally we would need close to 20 to 1 pot odds to make a profitable set mine in the long run..we are sitting deep enough to afford the call it;s good to mix things up a bit. Post flop, this flop texture is going to hit such a wide range of Ax and Kx combos AK AQ AJ AT KQ KJ (16 combos of each hands) and it would be safe to say that most of this range is going to be in villain6's 3bet from the big blind range.. I also would have raised them on the flop, it will catch them off guard as our hand is so disguised, by making a raise we can induce all of the above mentioned ranges (value range) to re-raise all in. Nice pot and nice hand! Well played! Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

Hi, Hand Analysis Sitting on a stack depth of about 10bb our hand is certainly strong enough to be going all in with from this position..Taking into consideration our effective stack depth..the villains may call us a bit wider than they normal would if we had a 40bb+..The majority of the non-pair hands that any of the villains could be calling us with we'll likely be in a coin flip situation 50/50 or be a slight favorite 60/40. unfortunate outcome to this hand. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
