            Hi,

            Hand Analysis

Everything went fine up until the flop was dealt. I would have elected to continuation bet a smaller amount, a 1/2 pot size bet would have worked out perfectly, here is why...generally a limping range is perceived as a weak range of holdings. The board presents two tens and is considered to be dry flop, immediately we can take card removal into account from any of the villains range (but bear in mind it's still possible they could have a ten, but rather unlikely). There are no draws present and if the villains want to make a high card float with Ax or Kx they'll have a total of 3 outs each which is very minimal equity and if we get called they wouldn't be breaking even on a call.. It's really hard for worse unmade hands to call such a big continuation bet sizing given the board texture.

            Hope this helps.

            Kidn regards,
            CannonLee

Excellent! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! umbup:

why to make a big bet

why to make a big bet?
                  1. to put a lot of pressure on opponents.
                  2. to gain value from very strong hands.
                  3. to protect against strong draws.

Hi, Hand Analysis Did you have any specific reads about this villains overall tendencies and known hand ranges? By answering this question I can accurately evaluate the hand replay you have just submitted. I'd would have entered the pot for the standard amount of 3x the big blind, this will help to ensure a pot is built so that value can be made post flop. A good rule of thumb when deciding to bet, is to make a sizing of 2/3 to 3/4 pot size, but keep in mind that our stack depth and how the sizing will impact the stack to pot ratio on future streets. There are only going to be a handful of Ax combos that beat us on this flop texture and with out specific reads about this villains tendencies I might be inclined to bet>fold, because a tight late position flatting range pre-flop could easily consist of TT 77 AK AQ AT all of which have us beat, however A9 A8 A5 A4 A3 A2 may have just called our bet on both the flop and turn. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

Hi, Hand Analysis Sitting on a 30bb stack depth we really do not have to much post flop maneuverability. However, there is still some merit to entering this pot to try and set mine or potentially bluff one street depending on board texture, but the majority of the time we will feel gun shy to bet for thin value or as a bluff. Post flop, this middling board texture is going to hit such a wide blind defending range, the combos that players most commonly play are that of the middling nature Tx JT QT KT AT, 9x A9 K9 Q9 J9 T9, 8x 7x 6x (16 combos of each hand) etc.. including two card flush combos. With all of the above mentioned hand combos that are capable of calling our flop bet, I'd consider just checking it down to save bets, there are going to be to many turn cards that can improve the villains percieved range. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
