good thing it turned out this way. after the last card was given and he checked i knew he didnt have the triple of 3`s. I made the raise to go for a big pot and was surprised he called it.

Hi SAlvarez14! With KQo from the button, I'm going to make a standard opening raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper or 600 chips. I want to keep all of my bets and raises standard, as this helps to conceal the strength of my hand. Players that bet more with better hands and less with marginal ones are basically turning their cards face-up to an observant opponent... something that I want to avoid doing. I also do not want to open-limp. If the hand is not strong enough to raise with, then I need to fold. I flop top pair/2nd kicker and have an opp make an abnormally small bet of 200. Bets postflop need to be sized based on the size of the pot, number of opps and board texture. With 2 opps in the pot, a standard bet sizing is 2/3 pot. Since the opp didn't bet this much, I'm going to raise by 2/3 pot to 733. The exact same thing on the turn, except that since I'm now heads-up, the standard sizing is 1/2 pot, so I will raise to 800. The river should be a blank and with the opp having called three raises, I'm going to check behind here and go to showdown, as I could be beat by an opp that has called my previous bets. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

                        Hi SAlvarez,

I will be your Hand Analyzer for this post
Against certain opponents I think the call with 75s blind vs blind is okay. We have a hand that has okay post flop playability but more importantly we are in position. I think we can either take a 3bet line to win the pot uncontested, call, or fold.
When it's checked to us on that board I like betting to pick up the pot since we have no showdown value and our hand will unlikely improve on later streets. The turn card however is bad to continue bluffing because hands that check/call the flop will now get sticky and not fold. Kx is never folding imo and slow played Aces will always call/raise. With that I think we should be shutting down and giving up the hand. We don't have to win every pot
