Hi pokepoke4! Postflop you played the hand great! Your betsizes looked good as well. Don't worry about losing on the river. You got it in good with a strong hand and were unlucky. It happens. Don't stress it. Preflop however, there are several points to look at. Firstly, this is a 6-Max table. Please play only Full Ring (9 man) tables for the duration of this promotion. Playing anything else can make you ineligible for any remaining buyins! Full ring is easier to learn the fundamentals on and easier to be profitable at the start. Secondly, is a bit weak to open with from early position. You will rarely flop two pair or better as you did here. Playing an A with a weak kicker usually results in winning a small pot when the villain is afraid of the ace, or losing a big pot when the villain also has an ace, but with a better kicker than yours. On full ring I would want AQs+ to open utg. Finally, regardless of your cards, anytime you are the first to enter a pot, always do so with a raise! Raising can win the pot for you by getting everyone to fold. Raising helps limit the number of opponents in the hand and raising conceals the strength of your hand. If you raise your strong hands and limp in with your marginal hands, you will be very easy to read and outplay. In this hand, it is quite possible the villain would have folded preflop had you raised. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                    Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                    1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                    2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                    3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                    Best of Luck!

Hi pokepoke4, Thanks for the hand, we'll have it checked out soon. But just one thing - you should be playing full-ring (9-player) games, not 6-player, but we'll review the hand anyway this time. Meanwhile just let me know when you have completed your remaining tasks. flophitter umbup:

1- put a pressure on the opponents

                          2- bluff of decent hands

3- gain value for my big hands

                              Hi pokepoke4,

I will be your Hand Analyzer for posts #11 & #14

Hand1: Here I think we can complete the SB and see a flop cheaply and look to flop a strong hand or draw. Your raise sizing does not accomplish much. If you want to raise follow a standard rule of thumb: 3x + 1bb for every limper.
As played, I like cbetting the flop with TP for value. We don't have to bet too big because the flop is dry and we have a backdoor flush we can account for but I would not go below a standard 50% pot bet. The turn does not change the board that much, I think we can take x/c line to control the size of the pot with our weak kicker and also allow villain to call us off lighter OTR or induce a bluff.

Hand2: Here also your raise size will not accomplish much. Again, a standard raise here would be something like 0.32 but in this spot if we are raising we are raising as a bluff and we need to have good information that our opponents can fold before we take a squeeze line here. Its a marginal spot with KTo, I think we can call some amount of the time and raise some amount of the time depending on the villains already in the pot. As played, I would look to raise the turn to deny a free card and we can still can get called by worse.
