Hello KyleBroflski, You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job! NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future First Step Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.
After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about. Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.
Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course. So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus. 1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video 2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer 3) Pass the Poker Basic course. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup:

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup:

Bankroll Builder replay Hello, this is the hand I played in a full ring micro stakes 1/2 cent blinds...as you advised me to play for my step 2 in your last e-mail. Can you tell me if I played the hand well or if I made any mistakes? I will also answer the questions in the video tutorial I watchd about Bet Sizing: The reasons we can make a big bet are: 1. They can put a lot of pressure on my oponents and force them to make mistakes and call my bet with inferior hands 2. Big bets can be useful to bluff people off decent hands 3. If we make a big bet we can gain value for our strong hands and we can also protect against strong draws. I also passed the Cash Games quiz. Thank you, and can you advise me what would be my next step?

Hi KyleBroflski! Preflop limping behind is fine with A10o. You have position on the limpers. Plus, even though your 10 kicker is not strong enough to raise with, it is most likely better than any Ax hands the villains are limping with. On the flop you get top pair with two hearts showing. I suggest raising here to about 70% of the pot. This protects your hand from anyone chasing a draw and against anyone with two over cards. Make them pay to outdraw you. I would raise the turn 70% as well. You probably have the best hand at the moment. So we can bet for value. Moreover, if anyone is chasing a flush draw, we want to bet now while they still have hopes of outdrawing you. This gains you value. On the river, you bet too much. This gets you value owned. All the hands you are beating, missed draws in particular now know they didnt get their card. These players will fold to a pot sized bet. So you dont win any more profit from them. Whereas only the hands beating you such as a set or two pair will continue with the hand. This means you will lose more money than necessary in these situations. This is why I suggested raising on the earlier streets to get value from the drawing hands. You can bet the river here, but a smaller bet of perhaps 30% would be more likely to get called from middle pair hands that you are beating. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX

                            What are VPPs?

I have a few questions...What are VPPs?...I understand that I have to earn 10 VPPs to qualify for my next bonus. How do I earn them? and most importantly Where do I need to look in the Cashier section to find out how many VPPs do I have and How can I monitor my progress in acquiring these VPP points?

They take into account the number of pots in which you participate (in ring games), and the level of game you are in, moneywise. ...I understand that I have to earn 10 VPPs to qualify for my next bonus. How do I earn them? You earn them simply by playing. VPPs are calculated automatically as you play (in a ring game) or when you buy in (in a tourney). and most importantly Where do I need to look in the Cashier section to find out how many VPPs do I have and How can I monitor my progress in acquiring these VPP points?
In the Cashier window, click on "VIP Status" near the lower right to see VPPs earned so far this year. The "VIP Store" button shows you what your VPPs can buy you.
