Hi simon84AA! With a bad hand in A5o, I get a limp, then a min-raise in front of me. I need to immediately fold it. It's nowhere near strong enough to even call this bet, let alone to make a standard re-raise to 12 chips (3X the previous bet). When playing from out of position, I only want to be playing premium hands. If I had AA, AK or AQs, then I'd raise to 12, all other hands with an ace need to be folded. Just because I have an ace or suited cards does not mean that the hand is strong enough to play. If I saw the flop, which I never would, when I see that the flop misses me, I need to check and fold to ANY bet. I have absolutely nothing and I only want to be putting my chips into the pot when I am ahead, not when I know I'm behind. When playing from out of position, I only want to play very strong hands and I need to muck everything even remotely marginal or worse. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                  Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                  Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                  1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                  2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                  3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                  Best of Luck!

                          Hi simon84AA,

I will be your Hand Analyzer for this post

Generally, I don't advocate limping into pots. Here I think we can either raise preflop occasionally for some deception or just fold.

As played, this flop is very draw heavy and given we are OOP without initiative it will be hard for us to continue with our hand especially when we are drawing to the dummy end of the straight (or the lowest straight). I would either take a x/r line here to turn our hand into a bluff or fold. I think after we check/call the flop bet we should be folding to the turn bet with 4 outs to improve that's if we are any good. On this kind of board our relative hand strength is very weak although we have two pair. So another fold for me on the river.
