I was a bit worried on flop, but with such a small bet i saw reason. A second ace on the turn gave me reason to believe no one else had an A. Is that correct reasoning?

              Hi LeighMan81,

I think here we have an option to pass on our hand and not complete the SB with a hand as weak as K5o ; sure this is play money and we are not paying for anything to play but I think its important you get into the correct habits for later when you play for real money.

As played, I don't see any reason to bet the flop ourselves since we are in a way ahead way behind situation. Meaning that it's hard for our opponents to outdraw us if they don't have an Ace, and if we bet we are going to get called by better hands that beat us. We can take a x/c line here or bet the turn if the flop got checked around.

When the second Ace comes, yes it becomes less likely that someone is holding an Ace but that does not mean that they cannot make three of a kind

Excellent! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game Course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks completed and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! umbup:

My only question is should I have put him all in on the river?

                      Hi LeighMan81,

Small PPs could be okay to limp/call in a 9 handed game, but I generally do not advocate limping into pots. Open raising 44 is a slightly better option because we can take down the pot by cbetting whenever we do not hit a set when we have initiative in the hand as opposed to limp/calling and having to fold to a cbet ourselves when we miss.

I think you could bet the turn larger for value and to setup stacks by the river. When you bet bigger on the turn, you can bet bigger on the river relative to the pot size. As played, I think we do miss some value by just calling his raise against two pair hands. I wouldn't be too worried about the backdoor flush here and would probably put the rest in. There are just few hands that beat us the way the hand played out.

                          -put pressure on your opponents
                          -gain value from strong hands
                          -protect against strong draws
