Hi GGOODD878! I'll analyse the hand in post #5 in a second, but first I'll answer your question.

The stars that appear next to avatars indicate a player's VIP level, and they are gained by playing real money hands. Collecting VPPs and FPPs allows you to unlock bonuses or purchase gifts in the VPP store. You have no star yet, as you're a "whitestar", but when you start playing for real money, you'll become a Bronzestar, and this status will also be shown under your avatar on the forum. For much more info on the rewards system, see http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/earn/

Now let's look at the hand. Firstly, it looks like you posted your big blind out of turn. Don't do this when you get on the real money tables. Since you'll be dealt an unplayable hand more than 80% of the time, you'll be throwing away 2c four times out of five. This money will add up over time and drain your bankroll. When you first join a table, click the "Wait until big blind before posting" option. There are several useful settings in the software for things like this, and I've listed them in my blog.
With KTo under the gun, the best play is to open-fold. This hand does not have a positive expectation in this position. You need something stronger, like TT+ or AK. As played, you raised to 40, which I don't really like, because you won't get called by a worse hand very often, and you'll have to play the rest of the hand out of position (OOP) which is neither fun or profitable. You don't just get called, however. The next player shoves all in for 990, the player behind him reshoves, and then another player calls. You should be folding 100% of the time. What hands are you beating? KTo is a marginal hand at best. Against the typical hands that villains will go all in with (QQ+, AK) it's completely crushed.
As played, you call, and you're really lucky here. You made trips to win a huge pot, but look at the other hands. KT is ahead of T9, but it's way behind QQ and A2. If you made this play 100 times against these exact hands, you'd only win 21% of the time. It's not a profitable play to contribute 25% of the pot with a hand that wins less often than that.
Going all in with trash hands like this is just random gambling. Gamblers that play random hands don't make money in the long run. Profitable poker requires the making of bets that have a positive expectation. If you don't make profitable plays, you'll go broke. Keep studying the PSO coursework and remember that a patient and disciplined style, with careful hand selection, is the way to make money. Going all in with junk is not, even though you'll occasionally get lucky.

                  Hope this helps!

                  Cheers,
                  Arty

Thanx for your reply. What about other two hands?
About the star: i know the meaning of stars at the lower side of avatar-circle (Supernova going all the way up), but have noticed that some players have a single star at the TOP of their circle?

                      All the best

                          Hi GGOODD878,

Bluffing is one of the complicated things in poker. Usually when we bluff we are telling a story. And its hard for bluffs to go through against someone who is not listening to our story. Most of the opponents you will find at Play Money and microstakes are just looking at their cards and playing the board. They do not think about what you are representing which makes multi-street bluffs very costly and ineffective. For a bluff to work it needs specific conditions and this is not one of them. You raised the flop and got 7 callers!!! Shut it down OTT and give up the hand imo.
I'm not sure what you mean by the star on the top of the circle? Could you be referring to the PokerStars red spade that appears for PokerStars team pro?

                            Thank you for your reply.

No, not the red spade. It's a single white star at the very top of player's avatar-circle. I play freerolls, mostly.

                            All the best

                              few questions regarding your answer

I wonder what story (when bluffing) do you mean?
What can a player at the table represent (except cards)?
                              OTT means? and imo.?

                              Thanx for further help
