Hi, Hand Analysis With so many players involved in the pot I'd be careful with this hand, I'd be looking to play fit or fold, meaning flop a flush or equity to a flush draw, very rarely will we ever feel comfortable betting this hand for value with top pair due to having a low kicker card. This middling board texture will hit the majority of general population hand ranges at real money 2NL and we do not have enough equity to be bluffing versus plausible made hands or hands that have decent equity to pair their hand coupled with a draw. This could be a rare situation, but maybe all of the villains hand some combos of an inside straight draw that missed, or we where getting floated by high card (two over cards)and maybe that had some 2nd pair hand that they wanted to get to show down at minimal cost..the villains would need very specific reads on our post flop tendencies to be folding top pair here..but their play is indicative of the above mentioned ranges. Nice pot and brave bluff! Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

              Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

              Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

              1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
              2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
              3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

              Best of Luck!

Hi ModernJackal! CannonLee already looked at your A2s hand. I agree with what he said. Actually, I would fold to the preflop raise every time. It is getting expensive to see the flop which reduces your implied odds. Moreover, you are not last to act. If any of the limpers decides to 3-bet we will be forced to fold. Remember, with speculative hands such as Axs, suited connectors and smallish pairs. We want to see the flop cheap and then fit or fold post flop. This strategy ensures that we lose small pots and win big ones. is a weak hand. You might be able to make a button raise as a steal against very tight players, but against unknowns or normal ranged players we should fold preflop. The sb actually 3-bets you. You have position, but a very weak hand. Also notice that V7 only started with 49bbs. Firstly, there is a good chance he will be willing to wager his whole stack since he is getting short. Secondly, on the rare chance we get a good flop, we just won't be able to win enough to make this profitable. Folding would be the best option. In general, be careful about calling 3-bets. With weak hands, folding will be the best line in the long run. As played, you flop top pair. V7 leads out by moving all in with a larger than pot sized bet. This is pretty polarizing. Either you are way ahead or way behind. I expect to see overpairs 99, 1010,JJ quite often in this spot. Most big hands like a set would not bet so much. So, we will see bluff here sometimes. Yet, without a read on the villain, I would err on the cautious side rather than risk so much of my stack. I hope you made a note on this villain. Knowing how he overplayed A4o on a missed board can be great information next time you meet him. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX
