Hi, Hand Analsysis We are sitting on a 50bb stack depth facing a raise and re-raise all in ahead of us that covers us and then some, very rarely would we ever be ahead of any range of strong early position and middle position starting hand ranges, the best case scenario would be that we are in a coin flip situation with a pocket pair lower than 8. Even if we had specific reads of the villains tendencies from previously played hands that all they played with low cards for stacks I'd still fold this hand! Good fold! Glad to see that you know how to use the hand replayer! umbup: Kind regards, CannonLee

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.

Hi, Hand Analysis Did you have any specific reads of the villains tendencies based on previously played hands? Facing a 4x raise from the villain I wouldn't feel to confident calling the villains raise sizing, usually we should give more respect to players that decide to play a hand from early position as they are willing to play a potential pot out of position and they are investing money into the pot with so many players left to act behind. On the flop, the only combos of straight draw that this villain could really have here is 99 KQs AK or AQ some of which will may peel one more street, your bet sing could have been a bit smaller 12c to 15c as we want to get value from those hands. On the turn I would have made my bet sizing 38c to 45c, I want the villain to call. as a general rule of thumb for bet sizing anywhere from 2/3 to 3/4 pot size is a good amount to bet. As for the river the stack to pot ratio is set up perfectly for an all in, several hands like AA QQ AJ AK may call on this river, although if you wanted to worse hands to call 1/2 pot would have been a good amount to bet. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee

Hi, Hand Analysis Did you have any specific reads on this villain fo their overall tendencies? if you can start providing the reads you have on the villain, I can make a much more accurate and detailed evaluation given the situation etc..we are sitting 40bb which is kind of short and first to act pre-flop I'd fold this hand due to it having a mediocre kicker card. A limping range is perceived as a weak range. A good rule of thumb when I decide that my hand is playable pre-flop, I'll open the pot for the standard sizing of 3x the big blind, it'll be much easier to play with the initiative in the pot on the offense instead on defense. We flop top pair, AK KQ KK QQ AA are likely combinations that could have us beat and the villain could credibly represent these holdings as their pre-flop raise sizing is on the larger side of the standard. Also their bet sizing is right on par with betting for value of 3/4 pot size. Readless I maybe would have called one street sitting on this stack depth and quite posssibly would have folded on the turn to that villains sizing, even though top pair is a made hand we have to take into consideration our opponents tendencies and the fact that we are playing versus a range of hands or different combinations. Hand Analysis This hand does have more playability than the previous hand, it's connected and will flop equity more often than KT coupled with a strong kicker. We are sitting deep enough to consider folding this hand to a 3bet pre-flop, although a call does have merit if the villain was loose. Post flop, overall for the majority of players two card flush combos are going to consist of a small portion of their range, so i wouldn't be to concerned about a diamond peeling off. A line of check call is fine as it may induce all of the villains bluffs to keep barrelling into us, AK AQ KQs ATs 99. But there are still many hands that could have us beat AJ KJ JJ TT QQ KK AA. We bet for 3 reasons, 1.) As a bluff to get a better hand to fold, 2.) To get value from worse hands and 3.) To collect dead money in the pot..so when you lead bet the turn what was your purpose? To help give you a better understanding of the combinatorics of NLHE please >>click here<< to watch this video. Hand Analysis This is a decent hand to be defend our big blind with as there is just so many different line we can take with it depending on what the board texture brings. Post flop, leading into the raiser to get value from diamond combos is fine, but these hands could have us beat A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 A8 A9 AT AJ AQ AK KQ QJ QQ JJ AA (all off suit and suited for the none pocket pairs) and that's alot of different holdings. I'd prefer just check calling and give up on the turn. It would be different if we had a diamond blocker to some of the likely combos the villain could be holding, but at full ring NLHE the relative hand strength to the board texture is usually right on par with semi-strong to really strong showdown value. As much as possible, try to avoid bluffing for now at 2nl focus on playing strong value hands. Hand Analysis We have nine big blinds and this situation is very similar to that of being in an MTT. I'd prefer either just open jamming all in and force a weak range to call a small 9bb raise, our expected value for that hand will be much more. Opening for 1/3 our stack could prove to put us in a difficult situation if a villain elects to flat call our raise and we brick the flop. This stack depth just doesn't have any maneuverability post flop. Hope this helps. Kind regards, CannonLee
