However, I suggest raising the standard 3bb plus 1bb for each limper making it 8 rather than 4. Raising small as you did builds the pot but does not limit the number of players since it is too small to get anyone to fold. With premium hands we want to raise both for value and to protect our hand, preferably by playing against a single opponent. On the flop, it checks around to you. Here you made a pot sized bet of 20. This is a bit big. I suggest betting about 70% of the pot. This will be big enough to give anyone chasing a draw bad odds to continue, but small enough to get worse hands than yours to call. Staying in the hand to the small raises on the flop and turn are fine. The raise is so small that you can easily call it. Also, checking down the river was smart. There is no need to build the pot even more on such a connected board when you don't have the nuts. Keep the pot small and hope your middle pair holds up. Nice pot GL and have fun at the tables! Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup:

Hi 1PieceNaruto! 43o is an extremely weak starting hand. I strongly recommend that you fold weak holdings like this 100% of the time, especially for early postion. In this situation you are facing an early position raiser already. You call, get 3-bet by a new villain that joins the action and call his raise as well. This line is guaranteed to lose money fast. Ask yourself the following questions: "What range can I put the two villains on?" "What am I hoping to flop?" Even if we assign both villains completely random hands, your 43o is going to be behind both preflop. However, raises from early position are usually premium hands. Getting a cold 3-bet is also a strong indication of a premium hand. Moreover, there are very few flops that help you. If you flop a pair, you will not have top pair, nor will you have top kicker. Your cards are not suited which means you will not be flopping a flush draw. This leaves you with a straight draw. You will not flop a strong draw, nor make the straight by the river often enough for this to be a profitable line. As played, you get about the best flop you can hope for. However, The villain bets enough on the flop to give you bad calling odds. You should fold here. The situation worsens on the turn. Now with two clubs on the board, we cannot rely on the A or 6 of clubs as good outs. This further reduces the likelyhood that you will make the nut straight. Folding on the turn is the only good option. Even if you knew the villain was bluffing, anything he is holding will be beating your hand. I recommend that you try to be patient and stick do stronger starting hands and better position. Doing so makes it much easier to play postflop, and to make a profit at 2NL. GL and have fun at the tables! Roland GTX
