Hi classic06109! I'll take a look at the hand in post #5.

You have KJo in late position and there's a lot of action in front of you. Three players limp, and they are likely to have weak hands, but the next player goes all in for 2000, which is a stack of 200bb. That is a HUGE overbet, and it would usually mean the player has a very big hand. Since he didn't make a standard raise for value, I would expect him to have a something like JJ or AK and he's shoving because those hands can be tricky to play on the flop, so shoving removes all post-flop play. With KJ, you should be snap-folding. What hands are you beating? There aren't any! You're losing to all pocket pairs, and are crushed by AK/AJ. With a 100bb stack, there's no need to get involved here. You should generally only get a 100bb stack in the middle with QQ+/AK.
As played, you call the shove, and villain flips over 22, so it's a race. You'll win this about 50% of the time, so the result wil come down to pure luck, like flipping a coin. Going all in pre-flop takes the skill out of poker. If you want to be a long-term winner, then you should avoid taking random flips, and focus on getting your chips in when you're much more likely to have the best hand. You won the flip this time, but calling off 100bb with KJ will not be profitable in the long run. Practice some discipline and patience, as recommended in the PSO courses, so that you can reduce the effect of luck.

Feel free to continue with the PSO courses and take the quizzes when you're sure you understand everything you've read.

              Hope this helps!

              Cheers,
              Arty
              Bracelet Winner

                      Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                      Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                      1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                      2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                      3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                      Best of Luck!
