Hi DISPISED! The first tip for you is that whenever you sit down at a ring table, to always wait for the BB to start playing. Paying extra blinds over and over will be a very large drain to a player's bankroll. With AK from UTG+1, I'm going to make a standard raise, which is to 3BB+1BB for each limper (yes the posts count as limps). With 3 limpers, I will raise to 6BB or 60 chips. I want to keep all of my raises standard so that the opps are continually guessing as to the strength of my hand. Players that bet more with better hands and less with worse ones are basically turning their cards face-up to an observant opponent.. something I want to avoid. I get 2 calls, a min 3-bet and 2 calls of it. Since AK is a hand with potential, but is not a made hand, I will call this bet and see the flop. I flop top pair and the first opp shoves. Here is where a read on the opp is critical, as they could have two pair, a set or even a straight. If the opp is known to be tight, then I'm going to muck here as I'm most likely beat. If the opp is loose, then I can easily be ahead and will call. The key will be on how this opp has been playing in the past and what cards they have shown. Since it looks like this was the first hand at the table (due to the post), with no information about the opp, I'm going to muck here as I only want to call against a player that is a known loose player. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

                          Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                          Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                          1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                          2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                          3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                          Best of Luck!
