Kind of an interesting hand. Turn over jam is either AA QT or nothing right? Hand didn't really play like either. But I don't know could have been a bad flop call?

Hi thxfomoney! Was this hand from a tourney or a higher stakes cash table? Aslo, what notes did you have on the villain? Preflop looks good. You made it 3x plus 1x for each limper. You flop middle pair, I would recommend making a standard 70% pot c-bet. Your bet of 5K into 13.5K is too small. We don't want to let anyone chasing a draw have good odds to continue. Also, the small c-bet will often induce a raise as happened here. With middle pair, your hand isn't strong enough to want to be building the pot. A read on the villain would help us interpret the min-raise better. As played, calling the min-raise is ok. The turn gives you two pair, but the board is dangerous. There are a few made hand combos beating you as well as plenty of drawing hands. I would normally lead with a bet now. You are likely to be ahead and do not want to give a drawing hand good odds to continue. Normally I would expect AK and AA to have 3-bet preflop. So Q10, JJ and 88 are the only likely threats with made hands. But most good players are not going to overbet the pot with these hands because they don't want you to fold. Semi-bluffs on the other hand may overbet here, especially weaker agro players like to do this. They want you to fold, may have a piece of the board and most likely have some potential draw outs if you look them up. Without a read on the villain, I would rather fold and wait for a better spot if this is a cash game. If you know the villain is a bit of a maniac, then calling as you did is fine. I hope you made a note on the villain! He called your pf raise, min-raised the flop and jammed the turn with Q8o!? This can be extremely useful info later and this is a player you definately want to have at your table. Nice pot! Roland GTX

Unfortunate result, probably should just jam the turn. -to protect against strong draws -to apply pressure to opponents -to fold out decent holdings. It says I recently passed a quiz so i can't take it yet, but I'll let you know as soon as i can.

Hi thxfomoney! I'll take a look at this real money hand.

Pre-flop with AA is standard. You get 2 callers, one of whom has position on you, but with an overpair you can take a standard line, betting for value and folding if you get raised. The flop is quite wet, with flush and straight draws. Since the pot is multiway, you're likely to get action, so a bet of close to pot is appropriate. 15c into 19c is fine. Anything less gives decent draws better odds to call. The turn T makes the board even wetter, but the only OESD on the flop was QT which just made a "wasted pair". Villain usually has a pair+draw hand at this point, so you can get more value. I wouldn't recommend shoving here, because that will fold out all worse hands (so you don't get value) and only get called by monsters (two pairs, straights). The river is a bit of an annoyance, as villain can have a jack in his range, because hands like QJ and AJ would usually call the flop and turn with their pair+draw. I think betting again is the right play, however. You're also getting called by random kings, as 2NL villains are pretty much incapable of folding top pair, even on scary boards like this. If villain raises, you can snap-fold, because you never have the best hand. Another river option is to check-call, because some players will make a bluff with a missed flush draw. Without reads/notes that tell you this player will make a bluff, betting is better. Villain shows up with J9s which is unfortunate, but I can see how that hand makes it to the river, as villain had a pair + FD on the flop, and picked up a few more outs on the turn.

Hope this helps and you have better luck with the next stage of the promotion!
                          Cheers,
                          Arty
