  • [CL] Bankroll Builder |

I've been a Pokerstars member since 2008 and as far as I recall, I've never made a deposit :O I'd Like to participate. It seems interesting the idea to be encouraged by Pokerstars to improve your game and improve a bankroll.

Btw, I also love the idea of playing the PSO ladder, I try to play daily now

AKo hand. Did I lack agression? In this hand I have AKo, so I raised and I command the whole way. When I raise on the turn and get called, I sense my oponent does not have the flush, but he hits it on the river. Now, he had 36o, thats trash to my standards, but I wonder, what did I do wrong so he didn't fold? Did I lacked agression? was he bad but got lucky? I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.umbup:

Hi, Hand Analysis There are a few things that I would have done differently in this hand. Generally when we elect to 3bet, the standard sizing is 3x the villains open raise + the current pot size, this will ensure that we build a pot with a strong holding and quite possibly thin the amount of players involved in the pot, which will greatly improve the strength of our hand or rather equity in the pot and make our overall decisions much easier post flop. Post flop, the villain min bets and our hand is vulnerable to a flush draw as well straight draw, but that doesn't mean we should take a passive line. I like raising this hand on the flop just as you did, well done, although I would have made my sizing 3/4 pot for pure value. There is certainly worse combos of Kx and Tx to extract value, this is a great situation for us! A general rule of thumb that I like to use when deciding my raise size, 2/3 to 3/4 pot size, anything less than these amounts will price in a lot of weak hands which is fine as we want them involved in the pot (note: they possibly would call a bigger sized bet), but we want to maximize value with our value hands(not default as we also need to take board texture, stack depths and player tendencies into account) The turn, there could have plausibly been some flush combos in this villains range to be calling a flop raise, but given the actions this villain has taken in the hand, I'd certainly rule out a made flush on this turn. I believe their range would be weighted towards Kx and Tx. As stated above 2/3 to 3/4 pot size bet would possibly fold out this villains equity or get them to make a -EV call. Hope this helps. Good luck and good decisions, CannonLee

                Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

                Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

                1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
                2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
                3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

                Best of Luck!
