      Hello corndogZAR,

You are eligible for the Bankroll Builder promotion, good job!

NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

      First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

      1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
      2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
      3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 steps completed.

      Best of Luck!

Hi corndogZAR! The first thing I see with this is that it's a 6-max table. This promotion is ONLY for FULL RING and playing any other table type (or tourney) after you receive your first bonus from this promotion will make you INELIGIBLE for all future bonuses in this promotion. With a really bad hand like 95o, I'm more than happy to check and see a free flop when the button limps. I flop second pair and I can either check or make a 1/2 pot value bet here. The majority of the time, since the opp limped preflop, I'm going to make a lead bet, as they should have raised preflop if they had an A. The turn is another A. If I bet the flop, then I'm going to check the turn and hope to see a free river card. If I checked the flop, then I need to make a standard value bet (1/2 pot vs 1 opp). The river doesn't help me and with the opp having already called a bet, I'll check and hope to get to showdown, as my hand does have showdown value with two pair. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24) P.S. Please let me know when you have passed the quiz.

Brilliant corndogZAR! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck!umbup: John (JWK24)

                  list three reasons

To put a lot of pressure on opponents
                  To prodect against strong draws
To gain value from very strong hands

Hi corndogZAR! I'll analyse the hand in post #8. With 96s, I'm usually folding pre-flop in every position, but the decision is quite close this time, as there's a raise and a call, so you have pretty good pot odds in the BB. The problem is you'll be out of position (OOP) post-flop, and this makes it very hard to get paid in full when you hit a rare monster. Until you've got more post-flop experience with stronger hands, I think it's best to fold marginal holdings almost always. As played, you call, so you see a 3-way flop of J97. You have middle pair, with a useless kicker, so I'd generally fold to a bet. You don't have a backdoor flush draw (not even one diamond on the flop), so there aren't many turn cards that will improve your winning chances. The pre-flop raiser makes quite a big bet, which is called by the button. Once again, you have great pot odds, but I'd still fold. You could improve with a 9 or 6, but the and are not "clean" outs, as they make a flush possible. Fortunately, the turn is the other black nine. Again there is a lot of action. The original raiser appears to have at least AJ (TPTK), but could also have an overpair or top set. The caller probably has a draw. When the action comes back to you, I think a raise for value and protection is best. If a villain is on a draw, he won't pay you off on the river when the draw misses, so get your value NOW, while he's still chasing. As played, you just call. The river is a 7, so the board has double-paired and you made a full house. I like leading out for value here. I think AJ/QQ+ will find it difficult to fold, but if you just checked, they might check behind. Surprisingly, it's the player on the button that calls. I'd guess he had a 7 for the small full, but maybe he slowplayed a straight with T8, or just couldn't get away from a jack. Nice hand! Hope this helps! Cheers, Arty
