So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus. 1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video 2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer 3) Pass the Poker Basic course. Bank Builder hi there, so I have completed step one and I have watched the video, Below is a hand which I played in which I had QQ. I bet 3x the small blind pre-flop, I continued to over bet the pot post flop, On the turn I was unsure how to bet so I placed a similar bet to the bet I had placed post flop! On the River did I bet too much and lose value?

Hi bur12055741! With QQ from UTG, I have a limp from the post in front of me. I will make a standard raise to 3BB+1BB for each limper. Due to the poster, I will raise to 4BB or 40 chips. I want to keep all of my bets standard, so that the opps are continually guessing as to the strength of my hand. I also do not want to bet too small, as it can give the opps the correct odds to try to outderaw me. I see a 7-way flop with three undercards and a possible flush or straight draw. When it checks to me, my standard value bet for 4 or more opps is a pot-sized bet, so I will bet 210, the size of the pot. I do not want to overbet nor underbet the flop, as players that bet more with better hands and less with marginal hands are turning their cards face-up to an observant opponent, which is something that I want to avoid doing. The turn could be a problem, as it completes the OESD if either opp has 57. With 2 opps now in the hand, I will make another standard value bet based on the number of opps and for 2 opps, I will bet 2/3 pot (620 chips)... HOWEVER... this is over 1/3 of my remaining chips, which means that if I make a standard value bet, I'm pot-committed. Since I'd be pot-committed by betting, I need to shove the turn here. I do not want to bet less than 620 here, as if I do, I can be giving the opps the correct odds to draw to beat me and if they do get the correct odds to draw and hit, it's my own fault as to why I lost the hand. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup:
