NB: Bookmark this page so that you'll find it easily in the future

      First Step

Watch the following video and pay special attention to the tips on retrieving and saving your hand history from PokerStars. This will be important for the rest of your promotional journey.

After wacthing this please play some PLAY MONEY FULL-RING (9-Handed) tables at PokerStars and using the Hand Replayer post a hand here in this thread that you have questions about.

Here is a video on how to use the hand replayer.

Then when you have that done please have a go at the Poker Basic Course and pass the quiz at the end of the course.

So you have 3 steps to do to begin with and when you have all 3 done we will award you with your first bonus.

      1) Watch the 'Getting Started' video
      2) Post a 'PLAY MONEY' hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer
      3) Pass the Poker Basic course.

Hi, Did you have any specific reads on any of the villains on the turn? The way the hand played out, it appeared the majority of the villains where on a flush draw or a gun shy Jx, a strong club could definitely be willing to play for stacks AcJx KcJx QcJx and versus this range our hand is behind from an equity standpoint. There could be a worse range of Jx J7 J6 J5 etc.. or some two pair combos within the villains range J8 J9.. our course of action should be weighed out by what our reads of the villains tendencies are. I do not mind building a side pot with this hand( if we have specific reads on the villains involved in the hand, readless I'd strongly consider folding) we can feel fairly confident about our hand as any premium holdings most likely would have 3bet pre-flop or raised the flop..Nice Pot! Hope this helps. CannonLee

            Brilliant!

You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job!

            Step Two

Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you.

Please watch the following video and answer the question below.

List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet?

Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this.

So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus.

            1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer.
            2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it.
            3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz.

Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in.

            Best of Luck!

Hi, Hand Analysis I like the open raise sizing from EP (early position) although if the action gets re-opened with a 3bet I am going to be folding this hand. Post flop, when the villain leads out into us, we can expect a range of maybe some flush draw combos in their range (did you have any specific reads on this villain?) and quite possibly a weak rang of Kx. But I'd be more concerned about a set (three of a kind) as this villain flat called from the SB (small blind) indicative of a small pocket pair trying to keep the pot small as they will be at a positional disadvantage post flop. All of the possible holdings that may beat us (which is a very narrow range) shouldn't detour us away from our course of action which is to raise for value, there are certainly more hands that we are ahead of than behind from an equity stand point. 3x the villains bet size is the optimal amount to raise. The turn, I would also raise this turn, but make my raise sizing 38c to 42c. The river, the villain has taken the exact same line as the previous streets of betting, calling here is fine given our pot odds, raising this river could be "value owning" our self. Unfortunate outcome, no worries!umbup: Hope this helps. CannonLee

Hi, Hand Analysis Did you have reads on the villain? When the villain opens for 4x the big blind from early position I'd feel a bit concerned, as most early position raises are really strong (player dependent). Our hand is certainly not weak by any means, we have blockers to AA and KK, pretty much every pocket pair QQ and below we are in a coin flop situation. We are sitting with 100bb and the villain also has a really deep stack depth, if we want to win this pot uncontested I'd make my raise sizing a tad big, 3x to 4x their raise size(eaxample: villains raises to 8c, we raise to 24c or 32c) anything less than this amount may invite other players in to the pot and it leaves the villain with an affordable call to see a flop. Psot flop, I'd cbet 1/2 pot to collect dead money as the flop texture is dry and doesn't really connect with a 3bet calling range, or to get value from some flush combos.. If we get called, I'd shut down on the turn and river to save bets. Hand Analysis We have a 50bb stack which doesn't really have much post flop maneuverability. The villain open raised for 5x the big blind, usually a strong indicator of strength/value! We could elect to flat call this to keep the pot small in position and take a flop or re-raise 3x to 4x their raise size (but keep in mind that this will nearly pot commit us without a made hand). Post flop this is a dry board texture (understandable as to why you raised all in as a bluff), but if we are to look at the sequence of events leading up to the flop being dealt, all course of actions indicate strength mainly from the villain. They are willing to play a 3bet pot out of position and lead bet into the original preflop raiser, they could be capable of doing this with worse Ax, but we need to factor in Jx 9x and all pocket pairs that are willing to hero call. We still have enough left behind to make a fold.umbup: Hope this helps, CannonLee
