Hi floraj! With A7o from UTG, this is a muck for me preflop. It's nowhere near a strong enough hand to be playing from this position. AJ or any lower A is a muck, AQ is iffy and the only Ax hand I'll play from here all the time is AK. The rest are too weak. Just because I have an A or suited cards does not mean that they should always be played. Patience is a BIG key in poker and I need to muck my marginal and bad hands. Trying to get lucky is not how to go about a poker hand. I want to take advantage of my patience, the odds in the hand (pot equity vs hand equity) and be sure that my hand is worth more... if not, then I need to muck. Hope this helps and good luck at the tables.umbup: John (JWK24)

Thanks,I get it now. But don't you think if the table is too tight,we can afford to play a bit loose.

Your hand analyser will answer your question shortly, meantime we don't seem to be showing your quiz pass on our system here, are you sure you passed it?

A7 from out of position is too loose. If a table it tight, then we can loosen up, but that's too far. From UTG, loosening up would be playing AQ, AJs, AJ, ATs and maybe AT... and playing all of those would be VERY loose.

Brilliant! You've done all 3 tasks and you'll get your first bonus in the next 24 hours, good job! Step Two Use your first buy-in to only play the 1/2 cent real money FULL RING tables on PokerStars. Do not play any other type of game other than this. Post one hand that you had difficulty with here in this thread using the hand replayer and we will analyze it for you. Please watch the following video and answer the question below. List 3 reasons why a player may want to make a big bet? Then study the Cash Game course and once your happy have a go at attempting the quiz. Don't rush through the course, there's a lot of content there and the quiz is tricky so spend some time on this. So you have 3 things to do to earn your next bonus. 1) Play the 1/2 cent Real Money tables and post an interesting hand here in the Forum using the Hand Replayer. 2) Watch the Bet Sizing video and answer the question below it. 3) Study and pass the Cash Game quiz. Let us know as soon as you have all 3 tasks complete and we will award you with your next buy-in. Best of Luck! flophitter umbup:

                              1) To put pressure on the villain

                              3) To gain value from very strong hands

I will let you know when i finish with the quiz.
